USA Trip - Week 1

Here are some photos from our trip to America, it was such a wonderful time.  God has blessed us so much with a wonderful family and some great friends.  Enjoy!

On our way to the airport!

On the big plane from Sydney to LA (15 hours) we had tv screens with plenty of movies and video games.  It helped make the trip go fast.
Such an amazing feeling to see that flag!

A view over New Mexico (I think).

It took nearly 40 hours from when we left our house to the time we arrived at my dad's house.  Thanks, dad, for picking us up from the airport and housing us for 4 weeks!  Dad took us out for pizza!  Nothing like American pizza!

We got to spend some time with Ayden at the restaurant.
He said, "Did you come here just for pizza?"
Haha, yes, we flew half way around the world for pizza.

We got to stop by my brother's new house.
Congratulations, Jason!  So proud of you!

Autumn was happy to be almost as tall as Uncle Jason!

Driving on the other side of the road took some getting used to.

Got some time with Uncle Jeffrey!

Patrick was pretty happy to be able to buy his son a Red Ryder BB gun.

Cody kept asking for bendy pretzels.  It took us awhile to realise he meant soft pretzels.

And got some time with Uncle Josh.
I don't have all the photos yet from him, but he took the kids for the day and went to Lake Tobias.
They all had a wonderful time.

We went into Applebees to visit my Uncle Rick.

Skateboarding buddies

Trying to get in all the time I can with Ayden.

On our way to Sight and Sound Theatres to see Samson.
Cody was still jet lagged, not sure Jeff's excuse,
must be because of working night shift.

We love Sight and Sound!
We got to see Samson.
(Although I was still jet lagged and may have fallen asleep during the first part.)

Patrick's mum joined us.
(Samson's head got cut off.)

This was after Uncle Josh took the kids to Lake Tobias,
he started the day with donuts and ended it with Sweet Frog.

Our first Sunday, we went to Bible Baptist Church in Leola, Pennsylvania.  They've been a supporting church for years, and it was a blessing to be with them for their 4th of July service.

It was great to spend some time with Pastor and Mrs. Gardner.

On the 4th of July, my dad had a big picnic.
It was cold, but we all had a wonderful time.

Lots of family and friends came .

Afterwards we went out to a Chinese buffet with friends.

The next day we took the kids fishing.
It was a nice and relaxing day.

Cody caught his first fish!

Autumn even put the worm on the hook all by herself.

That evening we went to my favourite restaurant in America -
Cracker Barrel.

That concludes week 1,  Still much more to come!
