My Trip to America - Part 5 - Hurricane Sandy

Sunday and Monday of our cruise were wonderful.  Tuesday we were getting closer to Hurricane Sandy, and the sun was hidden behind these stormy clouds.  The boat was very rocky.  They said you can tell who was drunk on the ship because they were the ones walking upright.  The rest of us went with the waves of the ship from one side to the other.  It was very hard to keep your balance!  Many people got seasick.  They had barf bags all over the ship to help keep accidents to a minimum!
We were supposed to spend one day at Grand Turk and two days at the Bahamas.  We landed at Grand Turk, but we only had 5 hours.  The captain wanted to quickly get out of the hurricane's path.  Grand Turk was beautiful but because of the weather all the excursions were closed.  My brother's and I were going to go snorkeling.  I was so disappointed.  We tried to make the best of it, but it started to rain, and most people headed back to the ship.

Ayden loved the sand!
