Homeschooling with a Meek and Quiet Spirit by Teri Maxwell

I purchased this book at the homeschool convention.  I started reading it Wednesday night and finished it last night.   It's an easy read, but well worth the time.  I only wish I had read this book before I started homeschooling.  I hope to make this a yearly read.   I do not have a meek and quiet spirit when I homeschool, I ashamed to admit.  I get easily frustrated.

This book has really encouraged me that I can do this, and I can do this with a meek and quiet spirit.  I love the amount of Scripture Mrs. Maxwell gives to teach and encourage us.  I'm planning to go back through it and write the verses out on 3x5 cards to memorize this summer.

Mrs. Maxwell mentioned in her session at the homeschool convention that she hasn't yelled at her children in over 18 years, it's been about 18 minutes for me today.

My prayer is to be a homeschool mom/wife who is meek and quiet.  1 Peter 3:4

I saw this book in a catalog and have been very interested in it! I definitely need to work on my meek and quiet spirit ALL around, not just in homeschooling, but encouragement and advice would be wonderful! Maybe I need to just go ahead and purchase it.
