Colonial Williamsburg, VA - Part 2

Sunday morning we went to Colonial Williamsburg. My feet were sore from walking around Washington, DC the day before, but I am so glad we went. It was a fun day. This is my favorite time period.

Love this house!
The Governor's Mansion

The Jail
The bed is so beautiful!
I was suprised to see the green and pink in here, and when I asked about it they said they believe that they had brighter colors in the homes back then. It represented wealth and character!
The "throne" in the prison.
She was explaining the shakles the prisoners had to wear.
This was a fun day trip. We learned a lot and are planning to go back again with the kids. I went here when I was 7 years old and vaguely remember it, but I really think Autumn will enjoy it.

Your trip looks fantastic! I love historical places like that. Hopefully it wasn't too hot for all that walking!

This is a great time period!
I'm trying to figure out how the `throne` was used.

The "throne" was the bathroom.
