You Capture - Macro

Photobucket

This week's theme was macro - get up close to the object. I just got a new lens for my camera and it has a macro setting, but I'm not quite sure how to use it. I'm having problems with it focusing. I'll keep working on it.

We decorated our porch for fall, my favorite time of the year! I'll post more pictures later. Today it was raining when I took these pictures, so I'll get more when I don't have to get drenched. Here's my up close and personal pics...

Please ignore my dirty window.

Mums...I love my mums! Pumpkins! To see more up and personal shots click here.

Love the fact you captured the pumpkin stem versus the whole pumpkin!

Wonderful photos! I feel so behind . . . I have yet to drag out all my fall decorations, but I believe you've inspired me to do just that! ;)

Nice shot -looks like you're getting there with the lense :D I only have a bridge camera, but it has two macro settings - macro and supermacro. On Macro I have to be careful to not hold my camera TOO close, or it cannot focus. It has a narrow window of focus. On supermacro there is no zoom at all, but I can hold the camera right up touching something and it will focus - it's awesome, but it needs good light. It is a fine balance :D HTH - even if you can apply the thinking to you own camera it might just a little.
