Prayer Request

I don't often get too personal on here, but today I would like to share a prayer request. Many of you know that we finished deputation last summer. It took us a little over two years. Everything was all lined up for us to move to Australia in August. We started looking into visas and was told to go with a specific one. This specific visa would take longer to get, but in the long run the wait was well worth it. It took awhile to get all the paperwork in, our sponser in Australia had to be audited and a few other things. Therefore the visa wasn't sent in to the government until the beginning of December. We have now been waiting for 5 months. I don't mind the waiting so much, its just the wondering why God has us waiting. Is He trying to teach us something? Are we supposed to be doing something? Are we learning what were supposed to be learning? Are we doing what were supposed to be doing? I honestly don't think about it too much, I've learned that it is completely in God's hands and even if I could there is nothing I can do to make the process go quicker, unless, of course, I am not doing what I am supposed to do before the Lord grants us permission to go...see what I mean, if I think about it...I worry. Anyway, I said all that to ask for your prayers regarding our visas. We are waiting on the Lord's timing...we know His ways are best, yet, we want to be on the field so badly that it almost hurts. Please pray that we will be doing what the Lord wants until everything is a go, and that when they are approved, and its time to leave that I won't fall apart because I'm leaving my dad, brothers, other family and friends behind.

Isaiah 55:8-9

Psalm 61:1-2

Thank you,
~ Jen ~

Jen, I am praying for you!!! It is difficult when wondering the purpose of the waiting. . . I understand tho I'm not going to the mission field. I was studying about trust last night - it's interesting. . . in some cases, the actual definition of trust carries the idea with it of waiting and being patient, confidently hoping in the LORD.

We are praying for you, Jen! Chase just mentioned y'all the other day & was wondering how your visa situation was going. I appreciate you letting us know. I know that it is VERY HARD to wait for something you really want. Your desire is truly from God, and that is good. I know your frustrations in waiting for something you want badly. We are experiencing some of that in our own lives. Just keep faithful, don't get discouraged. God is working in ways that you can't even imagine. He will provide your visas soon, in His time. We'll keep praying for your family!
