In my Bible reading today, I came across this verse..."And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day..." Exodus 14:13. I have a KJV New Defender's Study Bible, the footnotes were prepared by Henry Morris from the Institute for Creation Research (ICR). Here is his comment on this verse, "There are times when believers have done, to the best of their understanding, all they know how to obey the will of God, and the challenge confronting them still seems impossible to meet. Rather than becoming fearful and depressed, however, they should simply 'stand still'." See also Ruth 3:18 and Isaiah 30:7
The Lord knew exactly what I needed today!

Oh Jen, an excellent reminder for some stuff that we're going through right now too! Thanks for posting!
An Excellent reminder for all of us. Thanks
Another verse I love is Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God." Actually, the entire chapter, in context, is a wonderful reminder how "in control" and powerful God is. Sometimes we need to "be still" and see... :o)
Still need this! Great timing to re-post. Thanks Jen for the encouragement!
