Homeschool Resources and Back to School Photos!

It's hard to believe we are entering our 10th year of homeschooling!
After 10 years I think I finally found my homeschooling grove,
and I'm so excited for the new year!

Cody is in year 3

Autumn is in year 8

And here is our curriculum for the year.

Cody - Year 3
Math - ACE
English - ACE
History - Mystery of History
Science - Apologia
Spelling/Writing - ACE
Art - Various art books
Bible - Positive Action
Language - Kriol

Autumn - Year 8
Math - ACE
English - ACE
Literature - ACE (not sure if we will stick with this)
History - Mystery of History
Science - Apologia
Spelling - ACE
Writing - Apologia
Art - Various art books
Bible - Currently "A girl after God's own heart"
Language - Kriol

This is the curriculum we are planning to use this year.  I also go by how the kids are doing.  These worked quite well last year, so we're sticking with them for this year.  But if I find something isn't working for one of my kids, I'm happy to look for what will.  I want them to enjoy the learning process and not get burdened with the overload of workbooks.  I'm always amazed at how much they learn when they are enjoying it.  My son is fascinated with animals right now and thanks to Wild Krats he knows tons of interesting facts about all kinds of animals.  I want to encourage this!

I am also part of the TOS Homeschool Review Crew, so I have an amazing opportunity to review homeschool products and share them on my blog.  I've also recently been approached by a few other companies asking me to do reviews for their homeschool products.  I can't wait to share them with you!

In the meantime, I'm linking up with Our Worldwide Classroom and their "The All Australian Not Back to School Blog Hop".  If you're new here, I'd love for you to follow me on facebook or through the Google Friend Connect.

I am using classical conversations and mixing it with ACE like you've done. It worked for me this past year so I'm going to continue this regime. I am using the science and social studies for my children under grade 5 for extra reading
