The Baptist Happy Dance

You know how they say that Baptist don't dance?

Well, last week while walking through my grocery store I passed by these boxes with American flags on them.  It completely took me off guard to see the American flag in Australia, so I decided to take a closer look.  And what did I find?  The skies opened, I could almost hear the angels singing "Hallelujah," I'm pretty sure the lights went out at the store and a Heavenly spotlight shone over these boxes.

Ok, I maybe exaggerating a bit, but I was so shocked to find Hershey's candy!  I immediately wanted to squeal as I quickly did a u-turn in the aisle and raced my trolly (that's Australian for cart) towards the American flag boxes.  In my head I was doing the Baptist happy dance.  Notice I said in my head, I didn't want to scare the people around me.

They were $4 a bag.  It's a bit expensive but worth every calorie.  I did share them.  The cashier asked me about them (I go to the same guy every time because he likes my American accent, ha!), so I opened the bag and gave him one.  I brought the rest home and shared them with family and friends.  I may have also bought a bag that is hidden in my freezer for a rainy day.

Speaking of rainy days...it's raining now so I'm going to go have a mini Reese's peanut butter cup.  Cheers!  (That's Australian for good-bye!)

Horray for you!!!!
Enjoy every since piece :).

It was nice when our kids were younger and did not care if they had "chocolate from the states" or "Russian chocolate". Now they know the difference and want the Hershey chocolate :( My husband and I share most of the time, but sometimes we enjoy some once the kids go to bed :)

So, did the guy like the one you gave him?

Cheers!

It's so exciting to find something like that! One of our stores is carrying Reese's Pieces but they are expensive, but sometimes it is nice to have that taste of home.
