Love From Home

To send a package from the United States to Australia costs a pretty penny, actually a lot of pretty pennies.  This month was my son's 4th birthday, and my family put together a care package for us.  We love getting mail, letters, post cards, and best yet, packages!  We've been very blessed and have received several packages from home.  We were so excited for the post man to drop off this package Monday morning.

My family did not disappoint!  The box was filled with good stuff from home!  One of my favorites was this Charlie Brown Christmas Tree book.  Some of my family got together and recorded themselves reading the book.  I teared up the first time we listened to it!  What a wonderful gift!  My kids have listened to it at least 30 times!

Cody got lots of birthday presents.  He really likes Disney Cars.  So there were lots of Cars goodies for him.

They sent along goodies for my dughter, husband and myself, too.  Some DS games, DVD's, cake mixes, games, cookies, magazines, and more.

Although this cost my dad lots of $$$ to ship, we are so thankful.  It does my heart good to see the handwritten addresses on the box and little notes throughout.  I miss my family, but I'm thankful for their love and support.  I couldn't survive here without it!  Now if we could just figure out how to ship them over here!

Thanks, dad, bonus mom (Wanda), Jason, Jeff, and Josh for all those goodies!
