The Five Love Languages of Children by Chapman & Campbell

This was my latest read. I started reading it, then took a break to read Jungle Pilot. I picked it up again the other day and finished it. I learned a lot about Autumn in this book. Cody is still a bit small to figure out his love language.

In reading this, I believe Autumn has two love languages - one she wants from me and one she wants from her daddy. From me, I think her love language is Words of Affirmation. And from her daddy it is - Quality Time. She is with me all the time, so quality time is not something she needs from me (especially with school starting next week). Although, I think Words of Affirmation is something she years from me.

So, I've been trying to praise her more, and even in discipline tell her things I'm proud of that she has done, and encouraged her to be more like Christ.

I also learned my husband's love langauge - Quality Time...and mine - Words of Affirmation. Funny how Autumn's love languages are the same.

If you have children I'd like to encourage you to read this book, or even check out their website. There is a 30 second assessment to discover your child's love language (and yours, too!). I would like to eventually read The Five Love Languages.

I am currently reading End of the Spear, I have the movie, too, I just want to read the book first.

So, what are you reading? Any good suggestions?
