I went to a Ladies Retreat this weekend with my good friend from college, Laura. It was fun just to spend time with her, but also be blessed with some good teaching from God's Word. The theme was "It's Not About Me, Its About Him". John 3:30 It's so funny how many times that line has gone through my mind since I got home. It seems every time I come home from a Ladies Retreat that I am tested on the decisions I have made. Let's just say I didn't do so well yesterday, and immediately made everything about me. I spent some time praying before bed last night asking begging God to help me in this area.
Around 6am, I had my first opportunity. Cody woke up crying. My first thought was "It's not about me, Lord". I got up, got him a bottle, and, praise the Lord, Cody went back to sleep. So many times today when I didn't feel like doing something, the Lord reminded me "It's not about me". I put a little sticky not on my computer, since that is my big time waster..."It's not about me". I would like to encourage you this week to think about that..."It's Not About Me, Its About Him".

I really never realized how selfish I was until I started having children. They make you face it - constantly!
