A Night Out

Last night Patrick and I dropped the kids off with his brother, Jimmy, and Jimmy's girlfriend, Amy. Then we went here for the evening. We did the corn maze in the dark with a flashlight. It was a lot of fun. We are hoping to take Autumn there soon. It was nice to have an evening out with just the two of us. That doesn't happen too often. It was also nice, because Patrick made the plans and even schedule the babysitters, I didn't have to do anything. I'm so thankful for my husband.

Check out A Dusty Frame for more Works of God. She has a wondeful blog.

RYC: Yes, we will need to send in absentee ballots. We still need to sort that out as this is the first time for us.

No, we are not citizens and are not interested in being so either. There was a tea party in Boston and the Revolutionary War to gain our independence from Britian and we would not put ourselves under their rule again. There is still taxation without representation even today.

Morgan can choose to be a dual citizen when he is 18 as he was born here. It would not be something we would encourage as he could be drafted into their army. Or if he got into trouble ie. falsely accused of something... America would not come to his aid as a citizen of Britain.

A visa for Wales is temporary so is approved much faster. We applied in NY and were approved the same day. We must live in the country for at least 5 years before we can apply for our residence visas...which would mean we can come and go as we please. We were given a 2 year temporary and we just renewed them and only got 1 year this time. We know another missionary who got a 1 year at first and then a 3 year visa. I don't know how they decide what you get. We are planning on staying here for the 5 years to get our residence. If we were to go back to the states for any length of time it would mess it up and we would have to start over again.

Where in Wales are your friends moving? Missionaries?
