In the child's account, it has their lessons, assignments, worksheets, tests, etc. Starting up is quite easy, and my daughter did most of that on her own. She would logon about 3 times a week and do her lessons. I never have to monitor this and make sure it gets done because she loves doing it. If anything, I have to remind her she has other work to do and she needs to get off. But that's a good problem to have!
All course work is done online and all quizzes and tests are graded automatically.
I highly recommend Veritas Press. We've used it in the past, and have thoroughly enjoyed the Self-Paced Bible course. In looking through their website, I did not see a statement of faith, but I have not seen anything that we disagree with.
In case you are interested, they also have a history curriculum.
